Contract Recruiter

by admin on July 29, 2010

A Contract Recruiter is a Human Resources professional responsible for the hiring of individuals within a company but is not an employee of the company.  Usually brought in for a temporary over flow issue – or for a start-up that has gotten a green light to do some quick hiring.

I’ve been a Contract Recruiter for technology recruiting several times.  In all cases, I was brought in to work on tough to fill technical positions that the internal recruiters (aka: Corporate Recruiters) were not able to focus on.

Contract recruiters are usually paid by the hour and a set number of hours for the contract are determined.  Once in a while, a hiring goal may also be set.
