The senior financial analyst will provide support for the Advisors Network finance team in forecasting, strategic recruiting analysis, long-term business forecasting, and various ad-hoc projects. The senior analyst will independently handle reporting and analytical projects and will utilize existing processes to facilitate accurate and efficient reporting of financial information.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Financial Reporting Manager with various functions related to short and long-term forecasting and strategic recruiting analysis.
- Analyzes results of studies, reports, analyses. Prepares complex reports/analyses to summarize current and projected financial information. These may include balance sheets, income statements, annual/quarterly reports.
- Researches and prepares financial reports on subjects such as rate of return, depreciation, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance, and/or impact of governmental requirements.
- Conducts special studies to analyze complex financial actions.
- Work effectively as a team member by sharing technical expertise with others to facilitate the completion of a variety of projects within the business unit. Provides functional advice or training to less experienced financial analyst’s jobs.
- Apply knowledge of finance and accounting to perform financial analysis and reporting for a variety of assigned responsibilities, accurately and within the appropriate time constraints.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of Advisors Network business practices and products. Recommends process improvements.
- May assist in some ad–hoc accounting research and projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required, MBA or CPA preferred
- 5+ years of previous financial reporting and analysis, accounting or finance experience required. A strong history of a forecasting and analysis preferred.
- Understanding of complex financial concepts (e.g. IRR and CBA).
- Knowledge and experience with the following applications preferred: PeopleSoft; Dynamics Great Plains General Ledger; PeopleSoft Query, Hyperion Essbase tool; and Microsoft Office suite.
- Must have the ability to design extensive financial modeling in Excel.
- Broker Dealer experience a plus.
