Sr. Flex / Adobe Air Developer in Greater Los Angeles area

Job Description:
Senior Adobe Flex / AIR Developer is needed for an exciting opportunity building a highly visible consumer application.

This job is not about maintenance.  It’s about creating something new.

With agreements already in place, this application will be preloaded on many devices and will have a huge built in audience with the current customers.  Your creation will be seen and used by a massive audience of users.

Job Requirements
Seeking candidates with a strong mastery of OOP, experience with AS3 libraries and the Adobe AIR platform.
Mastery of ActionScript 3.0 and object oriented programming,  and comprehensive understanding of Adobe AIR and other front end technologies.

Can lead code reviews, identifying architectural best practices and constructively suggesting improvements. Has the ability to produce samples of: good design practices, Web optimization practices and examples in XHTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Experience creating dynamic Flash applications that use XML and server side technologies; experience with XML and Flash, including an understanding of XSD/DTD for validation.

Good understanding of Flash memory management and experience building applications that manage large numbers of objects efficiently.

You’ll need to work well with User Experience team (interaction and usability), Engineering team (server communication and application integration), and Creative team (look and feel).

And you must have a portfolio or other way to demonstrate previous work for reference.
